About the Hotel

The sequel to the Philippe Starck-designed JIA Hong Kong is a new direction for a successful franchise. JIA Shanghai is more a luxury-residence concept, at least in the design, courtesy of the Australian firm Hecker Phelan & Guthrie — it’s a fully serviced boutique hotel, just like its sister in Hong Kong, but with perhaps a bit more of a discreet apartment-house atmosphere.

JIA - Shanghai's new truly designer-led boutique residence has just opened its doors, adding yet another facet to this vibrant city's attractions. Set in a stunning 1920's building in the heart of Shanghai, JIA is cool, hip, playful and intimate, offering chic yet informal environments for travellers who want to get away from predictability and convention. All you have to do is make yourself at home.

JIA's 55 chic guestrooms and suites, some with private balconies,  feature a host of special facilities which will delight the travel cognoscenti. Two penthouse suites are located on the top floor, each appointed with ultra-indulgent facilities - perfect accomodations for a rockstar or for hosting a special event.

You’re by no means obligated to fend for yourself in that kitchenette - you can indulge in JIA's award-winning cuisine and sensational cocktails.
