Imagine one of this famous Italian fashion house’s iconic watches or trend-setting perfumes, but in hotel form. Hopefully, you will come up with this gem of a cliffside resort on the edge of Jimbaran Peninsula in southern Bali which promises the ultimate in luxury, with an added dose of privacy for the misbehaving wealthy.
The range of villas includes amply sized two-bedroomers with living and dining areas, and all are decorated in a mish-mash of styles incorporating local and European touches. The namesake Bulgari Villa contains a home theater, meditation pavilion and two master bedrooms so vacation-ending fights don’t break out between guests. The luxury extends to the resort’s two restaurants: one all-day Balinese/international outlet, plus a more formal Italian restaurant (in case you’ve forgotten, Bulgari is Italian).
To round out the picture of luxury, tropical paradise-style, Bulgari includes a state-of-the-art fitness center, spa, cold and hot plunge pools, yoga pavilion, and lounge bar for sundowners.
The Resort is set on a 150-meter high plateau overlooking the Indian Ocean. A pristine private beach, suitable for long walks along the oceanfront and featuring a Private Beach Club, is reached via an inclined elevator.
