About the Hotel

Re-live a part of Indonesian history – sort of – with a stay at this former Dutch-owned coffee plantation set high in the hillside in Central Java. Today, the former plantation still churns out high-quality organic robusta beans, but the main product is now luxury, and plenty of it.

Accommodations run the gamut from luxurious to opulent: the Bella Vista is actually a compound said to include the authentic royal court of Solo.  The Ambar, Villa holds a solid teak bed and sunken marble bath, the Arum Villa boasta traditional Javanese décor (but Mediterranean bathroom), and the Plantation Villa allows guests to play the lord of the coffee plantation manor, but with air-conditioning.

Revive your body with all-day dining at the Java Red restaurant or organic lunches at the Java Green Restaurant. Even better, there is an Italian-designed hamam, or Turkish bath, replete with eucalyptus-scented steam room, cold plunge pool and relaxation room, which allow guests to recuperate after living la vida loca, plantation-style.

 

Location & How to get there

Losari Coffee Plantation – Resort and Spa is located nine hundred meters above the plains of Central Java near the cities of Yogyakarta, Solo, and Semarang. Eight majestic mountains surround Losari’s twenty-two hectares: Mount Telomoyo, Mount Andong, Mount Merapi, Mount Ungaran, Mount Sumbing, Mount Sindoro, Mount Merbabu, and Mount Perahu.

This setting provides the ideal locale for an escape from the ordinary and luxurious living in communion with nature’s simple serenity.
