About the Hotel

This is one of the oldest houses inside the Fort and has been restored with great care to the style and antiquities of the early 1700s by its Sri-Lankan based owner. Reusing a lot of the original timber the house boasts high ceilings; huge windows with original shutters; 4 poster beds; antique doors and latticework.

These features are perfectly balanced by elegant and simple, modern bathrooms and polished white cement flooring that emphasize the calm, light, spacious atmosphere and insist on a barefoot lifestyle.

Three en-suite bedrooms with high ceilings and stylish antique as well as contemporary furnishings. Two double rooms and one twin.

A large sitting and dining room looks onto the lush garden and emerald green pool through squared arches typical of the Dutch period. Upstairs views are perfect for soaking up the unique atmosphere of Galle Fort.
