What once was a laid-back collection of bungalows on the fringes of Hua Hin’s bustling night market is now a stylish resort set right in the middle of town. While not strictly a “beach hideaway” per se, Putahracsa does offer a sense of seclusion that serves as a sharp contrast to its lively surroundings.

Rooms maintain their simplicity, but also take on an understated comfort. SilkSand rooms, bathed in white and wood tones, are arrayed around the main pool. The two-storey SanSky villas also offer an adjacent barbecue area and rooftop lounge. And pool and jacuzzi villas, obviously, feature personal pools and Jacuzzis.

There is also a multitude of options available for your dining pleasure. Nab Talae, close to the night market, serves up platefuls of Thai food, while Sala Monsoon and its contemporary fare stands in as the central gathering point for the hotel. Meanwhile, head to Oceanside to feel the sand in your toes.
