About the Hotel

Although the self-described “equation between urban comfort and the desire to escape from it” may sound a bit like you’re talking to Yoda, Costa Lanta – located on Lanta Yai Island, 80 km from Krabi airport – does manage to mix luxury with nature, coming up with something a little to the left of center.

For example, there is a beachfront on the property – and your room is not on it. In order to preserve the environment, rooms are instead set up among the trees. Standard rooms are stand-alone bungalows, styled in what could be described as “eco-warrior chic”: distressed concrete walls, retractable wooden walls, private terraces and semi-open bathrooms.

Superior rooms include 7 ft beds and glass walls, and all enjoy garden, sea or beachfront views. The beach, for its part, is left to the large and inviting swimming pool, restaurant and marauding masseuses who trawl along most developed beaches in Thailand.
