About the Hotel
What is the “X2 atmosphere” the resort’s owners seek to convey? A little bit of Malibu, a whole lot of Space Odyssey: 2001 – sleek yet imposing concrete structures, wrapped in a cocoon of natural beauty on a relatively underdeveloped (for Samui), 100 m expanse of beach studded with 50-year-old trees.
Villas are part boutique hotel room, part music industry mogul hideaway: a combination that amounts to equal parts intimidating and stylish. Garden villas – furnished in shades of wood, white and slate – include private terrace and garden; pool villas, well, you get the picture. The Hamptonesque Owners Villa includes a wooden sundeck with daybeds and pool.
The signature 4K restaurant (that’s pronounced “fork”, in case you had some other ideas), producing the likely mix of east and west cuisine in a stylish, underlit setting. The spa, which includes an outdoor massage pavilion, also looks out onto 30 m of beachfront, in case you forget where you are.

X2 Samui is located on Hua Thanon Beach, overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, on the south-east coast of the island of Koh Samui. It is just 30 minutes' drive to Samui Airport, from where you can get to Bangkok in about an hour.
