Like an aging pop star, one of the first Phuket properties to become truly well-known has stayed popular with the masses thanks to a little discreet upkeep and a lot of hard work. Maintaining its Thai-inspired façade, Banyan Tree Phuket has vamped up its accommodations, making it a resort of all things to most people.
All villas are awash in muted silks and teakwood, in deluxe, lagoonside, doublepool or spa variations. Aside from the plush Thai-themed interiors and an abundance of water, many also include crowd-pleasing “welcome amenities” such as complimentary buffet breakfast and late check-out.
There are almost enough dining outlets to dine at a different restaurant on every evening of your stay, including the award-winning Thai restaurant Saffron, “spa cuisine” at Tamarind, fishermen-friendly Sala Terrace and the Sanya Rak dinner cruise – a treat for any newcomer to Phuket. Of course, the famous Banyan Tree spa is around to finish off any day spent hard at work on your tan.
Located on the shores of Bang Tao Bay in the northwest of Phuket island in Southern Thailand, Banyan Tree Phuket is just a 20 minute drive away from Phuket International Airport and a 25 minute drive from Phuket town. It is part ofLaguna Phuket, Asia's first integrated resort, which consists of five luxury hotels, six palm-fringed lagoons, 600 acres of parkland, three kilometers of pristine beach and an outstanding array of recreational and dining facilities.
Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Conservation
Since the founding of our Company, we have considered the physical and human environment when making business decisions. The resorts and hotels that we have built have been constructed using design and construction techniques that minimise damage to the environment to the extent practicable. Where practicable, we also opt for environmentally friendly methods in our operations such as installing a biologic waste water treatment system at Banyan Tree Bintan to recycle waste water for irrigation purposes. In addition, we seek out opportunities to support local businesses. Each resort also carries out community development and environmental projects.
