About the Hotel
Dive headfirst into Thailand’s version of “Margaritaville”, courtesy of The Chedi Phuket, which appears to have never met a thatched cottage or coconut tree it hasn’t liked. This sprawling seaside resort on the newly christened stretch of coastline called Pansea Beach abounds in bungalows, all bearing private verandahs, sundecks and teakwood floors.
There are four types of cottages, from the light, airy and simple Beach Deluxe Suite and Beach Studio Suite to the stylish – and numerous – one-bedroom cottage and obviously bigger two-bedroom cottage. All are heavy on the white linens and dark wood accents, plus daybeds and separate living rooms for some of the suites.
Guests have their choice of three dining outlets: the informal, East-and-West fusion of the Sunset Café, seafood-y Beach Restaurant and Thai-themed Lomtalay (“Ocean Wind” in Thai). Spa, pool and tennis courts will assuage the fitness freaks uncomfortable with just flopping on the beach for the entire holiday.

The Chedi is located on Pansea Beach, which is arguably the finest in the region. This peaceful district is only 20 minutes away from the nightlife of Patong, 25 minutes from the airport, and 30 minutes from Phuket Town, by car.
